About
About YellowJacket Press
Established at Blake School of the Arts in Tampa, which boasts the most extensive public high school creative writing program in Florida, the YellowJacket Press Chapbook Contest for Florida Poets acknowledges and supports adult poets across the state and provides a means for student writers to interact with established, reputable poets, writers, and the literary community. One of the only, if not the only, state-wide chapbook presses, YJP has quickly become known for publishing superior quality poetry in beautiful, individually designed chapbooks. The press was founded by editor, poet and teacher Gianna Russo in 2005. YJP runs the annual chapbook contest and currently published two books a year. YJP is in the process of becoming a member of the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP).
